Live Map — Radar · Satellite · Wind · Warnings · Storm Tracks · Roads
Left controls: +/− zoom, ⇅ Scroll Zoom Control (on by default on desktop; off on phones so the page scrolls), ◎ My Location, and ⧉ layers. Layers include Radar, GOES-East Satellite, Wind (on by default: bold station arrows with reported mph; smaller approx arrows with ~mph that thin as you zoom out), Roads, Lightning (⚡ from Blitzortung), warning polygons, and storm cells. ⛈️ marks each distinct storm cell — tap one for strength, ETA, and ELI5 reasoning. Drag the slider to replay the past 12 hours of radar (1×–4× speed); city storm labels follow the scrubbed time, and the last good frame stays visible while the next loads. Use Full screen for a larger map (Esc exits). Click 📍 on any alert or Sentinel signal to jump the map to it.
City Impact — Estimated Arrival
ETAs from NWS storm motion vectors, with the radar fix advanced to right now (stale fixes no longer overstate arrival times). The % is a heuristic confidence. Storms wobble; treat as guidance.

Critical alerts for my location / home city
Opt-in only. Uses this device’s notifications (and My Location when shared).
Active Storms — Tracked
No active storm cells detected yet.
Default order is strongest / largest first. Storms are numbered #1, #2, … each Phoenix calendar day (resets at midnight MST). Open Technical / ELI5 for track reasoning, or jump to a cell on the Live Map. Died-out cells stay in local history but leave this list.
Satellite — GOES-East · Southern Rockies
Band 2: growing “cauliflower” towers cast shadows · Band 13: rapidly cooling tops = updraft · Dust RGB: haboobs show magenta/pink
Radar
Watch for thin blue outflow arcs racing ahead of storms — colliding outflows fire new storms in 15–30 min.
